The Artist

Vanessa Katz sees the world in technicolor, fully, expressively, without apology.

Raised in Venezuela and St. Maarten, shaped by Caribbean light and Jewish heritage, she spent years in acting and teaching before giving herself permission to do what she had always been drawn to most: paint. A self-taught artist, she came to painting as a second act and found not just a skill, but a language that finally felt entirely her own. Through color, symbolism, and layered oil technique, it became a full homecoming.

Today, Vanessa creates original oil paintings that explore identity, memory, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday moments, work that invites collectors to pause, reflect, and feel seen in the fullness of who they are.

She is bicoastal, splitting her time between Los Angeles and Miami, where she is also the founder of Greenleaf Mindful Montessori and Greenleaf Art Studio, spaces dedicated to creative freedom for the next generation.

I created this work for people who feel things deeply, who find meaning in the details, and who believe beauty and emotion are not luxuries but necessities. If something here resonates with you, I would love to know. Whether you are drawn to a particular painting, curious about a commission, or simply want to say hello, my door is always open. This work is meant to be lived with, and I love nothing more than knowing where it lands and who it finds.

Con mucho amor,

Vanessa
