About the event
This eighteen-painting series by Vanessa Katz was born in the aftermath of October 7th. Through grief, ritual, and faith, Foreshortened Time explores how moments of persecution and resilience have compressed our collective experience, bringing Jewish identity into sharper focus.
Each painting reflects on time’s urgency and on the enduring strength of community, ancestry, and creation.
Even when the world narrows its gaze, we remain — unbreakably Jewish.
