A wedding symbolizes the ultimate expression of chosen unity, radiating joy, love, and the belief that even in the shadow of adversity, love endures. In painting this piece, I found the moment when the series began to shift. Amid the celebration of joy, despite the weight of uncertainty, I began to feel the strength of my people and the power of the same rituals that have been observed generation after generation.
