I painted this piece in 2022, from a photograph of my son, Luc, walking into the ocean at Point Dume at sunset. In that moment, I felt completely at one with the universe. I felt G-d in everything. It was a personal reaffirmation of 𝑘′𝑣𝑜𝑑 𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑘ℎ𝑢𝑡𝑜 — the Glory of His Kingdom.
 
To me, it speaks of the awe-inspiring weight and honor of being alive, of the privilege and preciousness of existence itself. 
 
As I worked through this series, I felt drawn to include this painting, a reminder of the realigning of the body and soul through faith, tradition, meditation, and the quiet universality of spirit. This piece bridges the earthly and the divine, and reflects my ongoing dialogue between spirituality, ancestry, and art.
