When I visited Israel in 2023, we went to the Kotel. My sister captured this moment of complete surrender and reverence to G-d. This painting is the most intimate portrayal of my connection to the Almighty and to my ancestry.
 
This wall is the actual surviving wall of the Second Temple, the same place where my ancestors prayed. The stones I touched were the same stones they touched. It is the holiest place in the world for us, and that moment will forever be inscribed in my memory.
 
While painting this, each brushstroke across every stone grounded me in conviction and certainty, echoing the words that connect generations: “Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad” — “Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our G-d, the Lord is One.”
