The concept of Tikkun Olam has been woven into the tapestry of who I am since childhood. As Jews, it is our responsibility to “repair the world.” That can mean acting ethically, giving back, protecting the vulnerable, or standing as social warriors.
For me, Tikkun Olam as a daily practice means walking into each room and bringing in the light. It is both beautiful and active, a conscious way to move through the world. It leaves no space for victimhood, and perhaps it is this very idea that has allowed us to endure as a people.
Self-awareness, resilience, kindness, accountability, and love are
the five pillars that guide me. They define who I strive to be and
why I have dedicated my life, first as an educator and now as an artist, to Tikkun Olam.
